Jean Moody
I started Scottish Country Dancing at Bryn Mawr College, PA, then continued dancing in Portland, OR, and San Diego, CA. I wanted to give back to the great and varied community of SCD - it has given me so much over the years. So I started the process toward becoming a teacher in 2006, and I have loved sharing the joy of this dance form since then. I received my full teaching certification in 2012. My regular teaching gig in San Diego is a dedicated beginner’s class, my deepest satisfaction coming from the core group who return every season to welcome new dancers.
It is my hope to always make dancing approachable and elegant – “to make the music visible.” May our capacity to celebrate our music, our dancing, and each other always grow!
